Bring Your Child to Work Day

MWR and ARDEC are partnering with Women in Defense (WID) to host the annual Bring Your Child To Work Day/Introduce A Teen To Engineering (BYCTWD/IATTE) event on 27 April. This event provides dependents of Picatinny Arsenal civilian, contractor, and military personnel and residents with an opportunity to experience the science and technology located within our facilities. BYCTWD provides student participants, ages 7-12, with hands-on demonstrations and tours that not only present the endless opportunities in engineering, computer science, chemistry, quality assurance, and other technical fields, but also an appreciation of the efforts their parents make each day to support our Warfighters. IATTE provides student participants ages 13 - 17 with the opportunity to see how they can become a person who can design, develop and create a concept for the warfighter from any of the branches of Service that is both safer and better. The tour consists of seeing software developers, graphic artists, chemical engineers and materials engineers in action.

All Children attending MUST have a relative who works at Picatinny Arsenal. 

Are there age requirements to enter the event?

Children participating in BYCTWD must be 7 years of age on or before 4/27/17

Teens participating in IATTE must be 13 years of age on or before 4/27/17

What can I bring into the event?

Children will be given a bag and snack for the day. We are not responsible, nor do we recommend bringing additional belongings on the tour. Please do not leave any items in the Lindner Conference Center as we will not be returning after the bus tour.

There will be kid friendly meals offered at Choices after the event.
